What is Paymonetra?

Paymonetra is one Nigerian money app for everyday money. You can buy, sell and swap crypto in naira, pay any bill, buy gift cards from hundreds of brands, and spend with a virtual or physical card, all from a single wallet.

How do I get started?

Download Paymonetra from Google Play or the App Store, create your account, complete a quick verification, then fund your wallet and start moving money.

Is Paymonetra free?

The app is free to download and creating an account costs nothing. You only pay for what you buy, and you always see the amount before you confirm.

Can I use Paymonetra on the web?

Paymonetra is now app only. Signing in and signing up have moved to the mobile app, so download it from Google Play or the App Store to access your account.

Bills and payments

What bills can I pay?

Airtime and data on MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9mobile, TV subscriptions for DSTV, GOTV and Startimes, electricity for every major disco, education payments such as WAEC, NECO and NABTEB, and betting wallet funding.

How fast do payments go through?

Payments are processed instantly. Airtime, data and electricity tokens usually land within seconds, and every payment gets a receipt you can revisit in the app.

How do I fund my wallet?

Your account comes with its own account number. Transfer to it from any Nigerian bank and your wallet is credited, then you can spend it anywhere in the app.

What happens if a payment fails?

If a payment does not deliver, the amount is returned to your wallet. If anything looks stuck, contact support and we will trace it for you.

Crypto

Which coins can I trade?

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether (USDT), Litecoin, Ripple (XRP) and Dash. You can buy, sell, swap between coins, and send to another Paymonetra user or an external wallet.

How are crypto prices set?

Prices update in real time. You always see the exact naira amount and what you receive before you confirm, and the rate is held while you review it.

How long does a crypto order take?

Buys, sells and swaps settle straight into your wallet, usually within seconds. Sends to external wallets depend on the network you choose.

Do I need an external wallet?

No. Your crypto is held securely in the app alongside your naira balance, so there is no P2P haggling and no separate app to manage.

Cards

What is the difference between virtual and physical cards?

A virtual card is created instantly in the app and is best for online shopping and subscriptions. A physical card is for everyday spend in stores. Both are linked to the same wallet.

Can I freeze my card?

Yes. You can freeze a card in one tap and unfreeze it whenever you are ready, right from the app.

Security and support

Is my money safe?

Your data is encrypted, access is protected with biometrics or your PIN, and every transaction is confirmed with your PIN before it goes through.

What if I forget my PIN?

You can reset your PIN from inside the app using a secure verification step. If you get stuck, contact support and we will help you recover access.
